When creating a program segment, you can specify a symbol name by typing a valid symbol name in the instruction parameter field of the program editor. This method can create a set of symbol names for unallocated memory addresses or values.

Use one of the following methods to create a symbol table in the New Symbol Table tab that contains symbol names for all unassigned addresses or values in the program editor, where addresses can be assigned:

*In the Symbols area of the View menu ribbon, click the Create Table Undefined Symbols button.

After successfully creating a new symbol table,<% AppName%>will display a new tab at the bottom of the Software Component Manager window. When viewing the symbol table, please ensure that the correct tab is selected.

To rename the symbol table, right-click on the tab and select 'Rename' from the context menu.
